Supervisors give water tank their OK
PENN TWP — The township supervisors Monday approved the installation of a 26,000-barrel water tank at the Mountain Gathering site on Hicks Road.
Chris Hamm of KDH Consulting Engineers in Greensburg said the steel-sided tank would be used to maintain water pressure in the fire protection system at the cryogenic gas plant.
A barrel holds 31.5 gallons of a liquid.
Hamm said the tank would be placed on an existing gravel pad so there would be no ground disturbance.
The approval is contingent on the Butler County Planning Commission also giving its blessing to the land development plan.
