Cranberry man lands in prison on harassment charge
CRANBERRY TWP — A 27-year-old township man is in the Butler County Prison after allegedly harassing police officers while under arrest.
Levan Adkins is charged with felony harassment, criminal mischief, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after an alleged incident early Wednesday morning.
Adkins was arrested by Cranberry police about 12:40 a.m. outside a house on Sunset Circle, according to court records. He was allegedly intoxicated and causing a disturbance.
Adkins was taken to the police department and placed in a holding cell.
He then allegedly took off all his clothes and committed several lewd acts, including throwing his feces about the cell, in the presence of three officers.
Police estimated that the cost of cleaning up the cell was $500.
Adkins, who has criminal mischief and theft charges pending from 2015, also was convicted of assault and stalking charges in 2012 and sentenced to time in prison.
He is in the prison on $30,000 bail.
