Donald R. Perine Sr.

Donald R. Perine Sr., 74, of Harmony passed away Sunday in the comfort of his own home and surrounded by his loving family.

Don was born April 30, 1941, in Harmony to the late Joseph Perine and Thelma Ruth Nagel. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Garland Henretty.

He was a man of many trades and an entrepreneur of many successful businesses, including Perine Enterprises.

Don was a member of Grace Church of Harmony and the Harmony 429 F & AM Masonic Lodge. He was an avid hunter, and he loved to travel with his late wife, Nancy, and family.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Donald R. Perine Jr. of Harmony, Suzanne Perine Shaffer and her husband, Lonn, of Cornelius, N.C., and Deanne Perine Hutchens and her husband, Jeff, of Bridgeville; his brothers, Robert D. Perine and his wife, Barbara, of Zelienople and Lee Perine of Ohioville, Pa.; and his six grandchildren, Cassandra B. Shaffer, Caitie G. Shaffer, Caolan Hutchens, Seamus Hutchens, Raquel Shaffer and Megan Shaffer.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy (Garee) Perine, who passed away June 11, 2015.

PERINE — The family of Donald R. Perine Sr., who died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A Masonic service will be conducted during the evening visitation.A funeral ceremony will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter J.
