Cranberry teen earns highest Scout honor

Hunter Holt

Hunter Holt, 18, of Cranberry Township earned Eagle Scout distinction in June. His Court of Honor ceremony was Sept. 12 at the English Lutheran Church in Zelienople.

He is the son of Tim and Geralynn Holt of Cranberry Township.

For his Eagle project, Holt prepared and installed bat boxes in Graham Park, Cranberry Highlands Golf Course and the township’s sewage treatment locations. The boxes are meant to provide an ecologically healthy environment for insect control in the area’s wetlands.

Holt is studying exercise science at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio.
