Rescuers free worker trapped nearly 3 hours
FORWARD TWP — A worker who was trapped to his waist after a large hole he was working in collapsed around him, was freed after nearly 3 hours.
The man was seen moving his head while he was on a stretcher as he was loaded onto a medical helicopter.
The hole is at a housing construction site along Marburger Road, about a quarter-mile from the intersection with Mars-Evans City Road.
Rescuers buttressed the sides of the hole to prevent a further collapse.
They freed the man shortly after 11 a.m.
