JACKSON TWP — The township’s planning commission is planning to address complaints from residents about light and noise coming from the MarkWest Bluestone natural gas processing facility on Hartmann Road.

“We are going to make sure the surrounding residents are not too impositioned by the whole process,” said Jay Grinell, commission chairman, at a recent meeting of the commission board. “We just want to do some studies to make sure they are in compliance.”

Representatives of MarkWest gave a preliminary presentation to the commission in December on a planned third phase for the facility, though the second phase has not yet been completed.

The planning commission meets at 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month at the township building.
