Francis Anderson
Francis “Andy” A. Anderson, 86, of North Port, Fla., formerly of West Sunbury and Butler, passed away Tuesday at his home in North Port, lovingly surrounded by his family.
He was born April 9, 1928, in Clay Township, the son of the late Adam Leroy and Helen (McCall) Anderson.
Andy had retired from Armco.
Andy was a U.S. Army veteran, having served from 1946-1947 in Japan and then re-enlisted and served from 1950-1951 in Germany.
He was a member of the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church. His hobbies included playing in baseball and golfing leagues. Andy was a charter member of the Armco Country Club (now Oakview). He was well known as an antique refinisher.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia J. Anderson, who he married Jan. 6, 1949, of North Port, Fla.; two daughters, Judy (Bob) Rossi of North Port and Janet Anderson of Laveen, Ariz.; two grandsons, Ryan (Sarah) Rossi of Ashburn, Va., and Michael A. Rossi of Mars; three great-grandchildren, Calvin, Chloe and Caleb of Ashburn, Va.; one brother, James (Shirley) Anderson of Butler; his sister-in-law, Toddy Anderson of Boyers; his sister, Dorothy Gardner of Grove City; his sister-in-law, Donna Young of Hooker; his brother-in-law, Robert H. Young of Karns City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William Anderson.
