Karns City school board OKs budget with tax hike
KARNS CITY — Karns City School Board has passed a $25.7 million budget for the 2014-15 school year, which includes a tax increase in the three counties the district serves.
The school district had a $25.2 million budget for the 2013-14 year.
Property tax rates for Butler County residents will increase by 2.18 mills to 84.66 mills. In Armstrong County, taxes will rise by 1.16 mills, to 41.44 mills, and in Clarion County, taxes will rise by 3.93 mills, to 42.28 mills.
