3 vehicle collision on I-79 causes injuries

LANCASTER TWP — Three vehicles, a tractor-trailer, a car and a large pull behind camper, collided on Interstate 79 near the Little Creek Road exit near the Seneca Valley campus about 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
The vehicles were headed north near the Zelienople exit.
The severity of the crash forced rescuers to close both directions of the road so trapped people could be extricated and medical helicopters could land on the road.
The wreck is in the same area where a truck carrying milk overturned Monday afternoon.
