Eckstein, others in dispute over getting information
Butler County Commissioner Jim Eckstein this morning accused other county officials of violating his rights.
Eckstein said Michele Mustello, county recorder of deeds; Commissioner Bill McCarrier, and county department heads tried to restrict what information he receives.
Eckstein attended personnel meetings and sought certain records while the county was investigating whether Children and Youth Services caseworker Laurie Kubli should be fired, which eventually happened.
Although Eckstein and Mustello differ on the details, both agree they accidentally collided in the personnel office earlier this month.
He claimed she tried to get him arrested for allegedly pushing her. However, Mustello denied she ever alleged there was an assault.
McCarrier accused Eckstein of “terrorizing” a CYS worker.
No county official, including Eckstein, would confirm whether that worker filed an internal complaint against Eckstein.
