I would like to express my opinion about Butler County Commissioner Jim Eckstein.

About a week ago, I saw the board of commissioners meeting that was televised on Channel 10, and I was shocked at Eckstein’s behavior. I really don’t think a public meeting should be the place to air all the things that anger him. The public meeting is not the place to air “dirty laundry.”

If Eckstein doesn’t like the way things are, he should step down and let someone else do the job.

If there wasn’t so much fighting among the commissioners we wouldn’t need a sheriff’s deputy in the commissioners’ office. That’s just something else for which county taxpayers will have to pay.

The commissioners should grow up and act like professionals, not like kids.
