Obama leads Democrats in wins statewide



Here is a run down of the major winners in Tuesday’s election:
President Obama won over Republican challenger Mitt Romney nationally and in Pennsylvania. However, Romney won in Butler County
U.S. Sen. Bob Casey kept his seat from Pennsylvania by beating GOP candidate Tom Smith.
U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly of Butler won a second term in office by beating Democrat Missa Easton.
State Rep. Jaret Gibbons won in the 10th House District over Republican Michael See.
Center Township voters decide to cut the number of township supervisors from 5 to 3 members.
Voters in the Slippery Rock School District vote against raising property taxes to fund renovations at two school buildings.
Democrat Kathleen Kane beat Republican David Freed for state attorney general.
Democrat Eugene Depasquale beat Republican John Maher for state auditor general.
Democrat Rob McCord beat Republican Dianna Vaughan for state treasurer.
