Nonprofit to buy Holly Pointe building

The Center for Community Resources, a Butler nonprofit agency, will buy the Holly Pointe building on Main Street for $2.15 million.
CCR, which refers people with human services needs to the appropriate organizations to address those needs, already rents space in the building.
Mike Robb, executive director of CCR, said a mortgage will pay for most of the sale price. But $500,000 is covered by a grant from state and federal funds.
The county commissioners today released the grant, which was meant for CCR to buy office space.
Robb said the sale closing should occur soon.
"I'm confident it's going to happen," he said.
CCR has a preliminary agreement to buy the building. It uses 26 percent of the space in the four-story building.
After buying the building from owner Orlando Pride III, CCR will become a landlord.
Rental fees will pay off the mortgage.
"It has a good tenant base," Robb said.
He said new tenants are being sought to replace the Social Security offices that vacated the building.
Robb said the Holly Pointe name will be retained.
