Lonnie Forsythe
Lonnie Sheldon Forsythe, 74, of Hilliards, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, at Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Sigel, Pa., on Feb. 20, 1951, he was the son of the late Claude and Mildred Cox Forsythe.
Lonnie served in the U.S. Army. He worked in drywall installation for many years. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, and taking camping trips with his kids. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Hope Early Forsythe, whom he married July 24, 1970.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Michael S. (Valerie) Forsythe of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rebecca Wise of Parker, and Keith Forsythe of California; 12 grandchildren, Darren, Kyle, Freddy, Austin, Cody, Zachary, Kelsey, Peiton, Kaden, Brooklyn, Natalie and Amylya; great-grandchildren, Paisley, Lenny, Lyla and Wyatt; two sisters, Karen Schreckengost and Judy Myers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry, Paul, Roland, Bruce Kenneth and Robert Forsythe; his sisters, Fay Nelson, Dorothy Ferrari, and Sharon Forsythe; and his son-in-law, Frederick Wise Sr.
FORSYTHE — Friends of Lonnie Sheldon Forsythe, who died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire. The funeral service will follow visitation at the funeral home.
