Born Sept. 1, 1947, in Butler, he was a son of the late Alexander Prenovitz and Mary Chernick Prenovitz.

Alec worked as a maintenance supervisor at Armco and retired with 42 years of service.

He was a member of St. Andrew Orthodox Church, Lyndora.
