One person suffered minor injuries when their ATV crashed Saturday, Aug. 9, in Summit Township.

The person was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital after the crash at around 3 p.m. on a trail near Herman Road, according to Kris Bowser, assistant chief of Herman Volunteer Fire Company.

Bowser said the crash was in a wooded area and difficult to access, so Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company deployed its utility terrain vehicle to assist.

Another person riding an ATV was also present for the crash, Bowser said.

Butler Bureau of Fire and East Butler Volunteer Fire Company EMS also responded.
