Catherine “Kit” Marie Staub, 97, of Seven Fields, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, May 15, 2022.

Born May 12, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Schenker) Calcagno.

She was the loving wife of the late Wilbert “Wib”; beautiful mother of Cheryl (Fred) Samson and their children, Jeff (Beth) and Greg; Darlene (Chuck) Staub and their children, Bradley, Jonathan (Ray), and Lauren (Justin); and Andrea (Mike) Wheeler and their son, Jim (Diana); cherished great-grandmother of Evan, Connor, Emma, Parker, Aiden and Eliana; and the sister of Lois (the late Art) Page and the late Frank Calcagno.

She met the love of her life and they were married for 54 years. Together they raised a beautiful family. The highlight of her life was watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. They were blessed to call her “GiGi.”

Besides spending time with her family, Kit spent countless hours volunteering with the Living Stations Ministry, Comfort Blankets, and the church. She loved to travel with her husband and friends too.

STAUB — Family and friends of Catherine “Kit” Marie Staub, who died Sunday, May 15, 2022, are welcome from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Kilian Church, with the Rev. Charles Bober officiating.

Private interment will be held at Allegheny County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Catherine’s name to the St. Kilian Living Stations Ministry or Shriner’s Hospital.
