The Seneca Valley School District's Haine Elementary School's First Lego League (FLL) teams, the SV Tech-Sperts and SV Tech-Ovators, took part in the Western Pennsylvania FLL Grand Championship at Sewickley Academy recently.

The SV Tech-Ovators earned the highest SV single-round score in the robot game during the competition.

The SV Tech-Sperts were awarded the “Rising All-Star Award” for their high combined score in all four categories, including robot game, project presentation, robot presentation and core values presentation. They were also recognized as finalists in the project presentation category, for their innovation, “Package Protector.”

Team members for the SV Tech-Ovators include Shannon Evans, Kate Takac, Emma Gift, Georgia Bryer, Gavin Draskovich, Moorthy Maharajan, Lucio Impellizzeri and Eoin McCarthy.For the SV Tech-Sperts, team members include Nick LaGamba, Bella Richards, Austin Sperry, Luke Sloan, Cameron Schuster, Evelynn Wirkowski, Salvatore Semrau and Ally Bookwalter.
