Ruby K. Wind
Ruby K. Wind, 96, of Chicora passed away peacefully Monday at the Chicora Medical Center with her family at her side.
Born Aug. 25, 1920, in Concord Township, she was the daughter of the late Elias Irwin King and the late B. Alvina Fleming King.
She was a registered nurse working in nursing homes in Erie and retired from Autumn Grove Nursing Home in Harrisville.
She married Franklin George Wind on Aug. 16, 1947. He died Nov. 17, 1979. She is survived by her brother, John King of Chicora; and her nephews and nieces, including her niece and caretaker, Beverly Cunningham of Chicora.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
She was a member of the Chicora Methodist Church.
WIND — Friends of Ruby K. Wind, who passed away Monday, March 6, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. with services at 4 p.m. Thursday at the STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main streets, downtown Chicora, with the Rev.
