Celia A. Burk
Celia A. Burk, 90, of Decatur, Ind., formerly of Jackson Township, Evans City, passed away Wednesday morning at Woodcrest Nursing Home in Decatur following a lingering illness.
Born on July 22, 1924, in Venango County, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Virgie Smith Woods.
She was a Protestant.
Surviving are her three daughters, Sally (Blaine) Miller of Decatur and Pensacola, Fla., Dian (Eddie) Sasse of Tennessee and Ruth Burk of Pensacola, Fla.; her two sons, Jack W. (Jeanette) Burk of Karns City and George T. Burk of Texas; and her several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy H. Burk, who she married on Aug. 9, 1942, and who passed away on May 17, 2004, and her sister, Ida Murphy.
