Waiting cost pup's life
I lost my 6-month-old puppy recently to the deadly virus called parvo. This sickness came on all of a sudden, and killed her in less than three days.
At first I thought her illness was nothing serious — until she had a bowel movement of mostly blood.
The veterinarian took a stool sample and found parvo. She was put in isolation with an I-V drip, and was given a 50-50 chance of survival.
While in isolation, she passed away, all alone in a strange place, with no goodbyes.
For the short time I had her, we were together 24-7, which is why I was so emotionally attached to her.
Parvo is a very serious disease that inflicts mainly young puppies, and could have been prevented with first shots.
If I would have known about parvo, I would still have my beloved puppy instead of tears, great memories and her ashes.
