I recently read an article in the Butler Eagle about a battle between county Commissioners Jim Eckstein and Dale Pinkerton.

I’m sure Pinkerton has his followers; I’m not one of them.

That aside, I’ve seen all the backlash against Eckstein. Should he criticize county workers, probably not, but isn’t that part of our free speech?

Eckstein is that outspoken voice we’ve needed for years.

As for Joyce Ainsworth, director of Butler County Children and Youth Services, maybe she had Eckstein’s criticism coming. I don’t believe in CYS most of the time.

It seems that all they do is destroy families. I’ve seen it firsthand.

Eckstein has been true to what he promised.
