Cynthia Vincent
Cynthia Buzzard Vincent, 65, of Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County, died Tuesday at Jameson Health System South, New Castle, following an illness.
Born June 3, 1939, in Mt. Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Albert Joel and Mary Ethel Gray Buzzard.
She was a homemaker, and an active member of the Plain Grove Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder and a deacon.
From 1964 to the early 1990s, she worked with and showed pedigree dogs. She enjoyed golfing, gardening and traveling.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Kirk D. and Diane Weaver of Mt. Lebanon and Stephen G. and Mary Ann Weaver of Midway, Washington County; a brother, Gray and his wife, Ann, Bossard of Bethel Park; a sister, Mary Ann and her husband, Richard, Staab of Tulsa, Okla.; and four grandchildren, Kaitlin, Adam, Michael and Christopher Weaver. Also surviving is her former husband, John D. Weaver Jr. of Greentree.
She was preceded in death a brother, Robert Buzzard, and her former husband, David W. Vincent.
VINCENT - Friends of Cynthia Buzzard Vincent, who died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Visitation will also be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Plain Grove Presbyterian Church, where services follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Herbert Goetz officiating. Burial will follow at South Plain Grove Cemetery, Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County.Memorial donations may be made to the Jameson Hospice.
