I'm thankful

As I sat in church, it occurred to me how much I am thankful for.

I am thankful for God and all the many blessings.

I am thankful for friends, family and neighbors.

I’m thankful for the simple life that used to be filled with respect and nonjudgment of anyone; the simple notion of a helping hand, a kind heart and just an ear to listen.

I’m thankful for good parents, and the holidays spent celebrating life and loving and encouraging one another.

I’m thankful God has made us his children, no matter what color, race or religion.

Maybe it’s time to choose life and celebrate what we have.

God has given each of us life. We are all made of the same flesh and blood.

So at Thanksgiving and all the holidays, turn back the pages of our life and create the joy once more of a more simple life and bring back the love of God and respect for everyone.

Find peace and forgiveness and pass it on.

It doesn’t cost anything, but it is the best present ever.
