A Mercer woman died Sunday stemming from her involvement in a crash last weekend on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office.

A report from the examiner's office showed Marilyn Suchy, 61, died around 1:27 p.m. Sunday at a hospital.

Following the crash around 10:15 a.m. Oct. 19 near mile marker 83 of I-79 Southbound, Suchy had been flown by helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian for “suspected serious injury,” according to a state police report.
