The October Dark Sky/Moonrise Star Party, sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh, is set for 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Wagman Observatory, Deer Lakes Regional Park, Frazer Township, in northeastern Allegheny County.

This is an opportunity to observe the wonders of the autumn skies. Enjoy the views of the Andromeda Galaxy and Double Cluster in Perseus through the telescopes at the observatory before the moon rises about 8:20 p.m.
