Preliminary hearings in criminal cases were held recently before Magisterial District Judge William T. Fullerton in Butler and Magisterial District Judge William S. O'Donnell in Slippery Rock.

Alvin Berry, 44, of Pittsburgh waived his hearing on charges of driving under the influence and two summary traffic violations filed June 25 by state police.Jermaine Cradell Wynn Jr., 23, of Slippery Rock waived his hearing on charges of DUI and three summary traffic violations filed Feb. 28 by Slippery Rock University police.Clemente B. Runas III, 22, of Tarentum waived his hearing on charges of DUI and two summary traffic violations filed Sept. 5 by Slippery Rock University police.Keith Lutes, 48, of Grove City waived his hearing on charges of DUI and two summary traffic violations filed Aug. 18 by Slippery Rock police.Jonathon Regis Barnes, 44, of Linesville waived his hearing on charges of DUI and resisting arrest filed Sept. 24 by Slippery Rock police.

Jeremy Jaymes Ambrosi-Clair, 29, of Butler waived his hearing on charges of rape, statutory sexual assault, two separate counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, corruption of minors, child pornography, endangering the welfare of children and three separate counts of indecent assault filed by state police on Sept. 24. Ambrosi-Clair allegedly raped a now 14-year-old girl around May 2020, according to charging documents. Police began their investigation in March after receiving a ChildLine report from a county detective. Ambrosi-Clair was arrested Sept. 27. His original bail of $500,000 was reduced to $100,000. He remains incarcerated in the county prison. His formal arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 30 before Common Pleas Court Judge William T. Shaffer.Mark Edward Olinger Jr., 32, of New Castle waived his hearing on charges of statutory sexual assault, rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and sexual assault filed by Butler police on Sept. 17. Olinger allegedly sexually assaulted an 8-year-old child on July 9. His $100,000 bail was changed to non-monetary bail. His formal arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 30 before Common Pleas Court Judge William T. Shaffer.
