The state Department of Transportation announced a public comment period for the tentative 2045 Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and Freight Movement Plan (FMP), which are available for review through Oct. 19.

The plans were created to improve mobility, safety, fairness, resilience and sustainability for moving people and goods through the state.

PennDOT is asking for public and stakeholder involvement to understand the needs and concerns of the public.

Both plans can be viewed and commented upon under the “Tell Us What You Think” section at penndot.gov/planning. The plans and ability to comment also are available at public libraries, according to a PennDOT news release.
