Sharon Osbourne

NEW YORK — Sharon Osbourne has no immediate plans to return to hosting a daytime talk show after her highly publicized departure from “The Talk.”

The Emmy Award-winning TV personality believes the format isn’t a “safe place” anymore because of cancel culture.

“I do want to return to TV, but I want to produce shows. You got to evolve... I’m not going to go another TV show that’s talk because I know right now, it’s not a safe place to be. Because the slightest thing, the slightest word and you’ve (expletive) off half the nation,” Osbourne tells DailyMailTV in a clip that was circulated to promote the syndicated show’s fifth season. “I don’t want to put myself up for that grief, I really don’t.”

Osbourne has been replaced on the show by Jerry O’Connell, who joined the show as its first permanent male co-host.

In the aftermath, fellow co-hosts Carrie Ann Inaba and Elaine Welteroth also announced they wouldn’t return for season 12 of “The Talk,” which premiered Monday.

NEW YORK — Shannen Doherty hopes to help educate people about cancer amid her battle with the disease.

The “Beverly Hills, 90210? star on Tuesday said it’s important to know that people fighting stage 4 cancer are “very much alive and very active,” according to People.

“My husband says that you would never know that I have cancer,” Doherty said during a panel discussion about her film “List of a Lifetime.”

“I never really complain. I don’t really talk about it. It’s part of life at this point.”

Doherty, 50, announced in February 2020 that her breast cancer had returned after previously going into remission in 2017.

“I’m stage 4,” Doherty said on “Good Morning America” at the time. “So my cancer came back, and that’s why I’m here.”

Doherty, who was first diagnosed with the disease in 2015, has often spoken publicly about her battle to bring awareness.

“I feel like I have a responsibility in my more public life, which I separate from my acting life ... to talk about cancer and perhaps educate people more and let people know that people with stage 4 are very much alive and very active,” Doherty said Tuesday, according to People.

“List of a Lifetime” stars Kelly Hu as a woman who reconnects with her daughter — and makes a bucket list of life experiences to fulfill with her — after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

Get ready to go goo-goo for Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett — a whole lot more often.

Fresh off their “One Last Time” concerts in New York, the singing duo has partnered with ViacomCBS for a new slate of original programming, the entertainment company announced Wednesday.

The content deal kicks off Friday with MTV debuting the video for Gaga and Bennett’s new song, “Love For Sale,” which is the title track on their upcoming collaborative album.

Then on Nov. 28, CBS will air a concert special from the two “One Last Time” shows, which took place in August at Madison Square Garden, marking the final Big Apple gigs for the 95-year-old Bennett.

Bennett and Gaga, 35, will also team up for an “MTV Unplugged” set, which will air this winter, and for a documentary, due out next year, about the making of their new album.

“We are honored to partner with the legendary Tony Bennett and the iconic Lady Gaga for ViacomCBS’ biggest cross-platform music talent collaboration to-date,” said Bruce Gillmer, the head of the company’s music division.

“With the sweeping range of our unique brands and platforms, ViacomCBS offers an unparalleled one-stop shop for artists to showcase their global music releases and creative content of all varieties.”

Bennett, an 18-time Grammy winner, revealed this year that he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2016.

Out Oct. 1, “Love For Sale” is the second collaborative album for Gaga and Bennett, who also released “Cheek to Cheek” in 2014.
