Oskin, Knoch roll past Highlands, 6-0

Beneigh goal lifts Butler over P-R, 1-0

Knoch's Caleb Oskin scored three goals and the defense, led by Jared Cushey and goalkeeper Kyle Hawks, kept Highlands off the scoreboard as the Knights earned a 6-0 boys soccer victory Monday.

Nick Dellarosa, Aaron Butler and Matt Welsh scored the other three goals while assists went to Orrin Milcic, Nathan Glassic and Grant West.

Knoch improved to 2-1 in section play and 3-1-1 overall.

Butler 1, Pine-Richland 0 — Jack Beneigh scored the lone goal as the Golden Tornado (4-1, 2-1) picked up a section win. Carson Knight drew the assist.

Noah Wolford and Drew Knight split duties in goal for the shutout.

Slippery Rock 6, Sharon 0 — Nick Kingerski scored three goals and Connor Wallace had two saves for the Rockets.

David Magliocca and Cullen Birkes also scored for Slippery Rock (2-2-1). The Rockets' other goal was an “own” goal off a Sharon player.

Slippery Rock hosts Grove City Wednesday.

Karns City 3, Clarion-Limestone 1 — Brandon Slater, Myles McCully and Colson Ritzert each scored a goal for the Gremlins.

Mallick Metcalfe, Ritzert and McCully contributed assists.

Emma Slusser and Izabella Oskin scored two goals each for the Knights (2-0) as Knoch cruised past Highlands, 10-1, Saturday.Megan Vasas, Sarah Fleishner, Macrina Robb, Ava Fields, Meredith Martin and Brooke Martin scored single goals. Robb and Paige Rodgers had one save each in goal.Girls VolleyballMeah Ielease tallied 14 service points, nine kills and 14 digs Saturday as A-C Valley defeated Sheffield, 3-2.
