These items were collected from various police departments:

3:30 p.m. Aug. 22 — Edwin N. Vasquez Cabrera, 28, of Mars, was arrested and charged with a first-offense DUI related to a reported hit-and-run on the 200 block of Mars Valencia Road.Police said the other party described a vehicle that pulled onto a curb and hit an ice machine before hitting their vehicle and driving away.Police said they later located the involved vehicle and found the driver to be Vasquez Cabrera. Police said there were empty beer cans in the truck and there was damage to the truck matching the description from the crash.Police said a blood test showed Vasquez Cabrera's blood-alcohol content at .256%, and in Pennsylvania a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.

Sept. 7 — Crystal Soose, 55, of Butler suffered a hand injury after the car she was driving traveled off of Route 8 north near Calvary Cemetery, struck a rock and a utility pole. The car was disabled.Sept. 3 — Kyle Armagost, 27, of Boyers was cited for careless driving following a three-vehicle accident on New Castle Road near Barracks Road in which he allegedly rear ended a vehicle driven by Phyllis Minich, 75, of Butler, which was pushed into a vehicle driven by Harold Roudybush, 75, of Butler. Minich was takent to Butler Memorial Hospital with a back injury.Sept. 2 — Cassie A. Williams, 58, Butler, was charged with a first-offense DUI, related to an Aug. 11 traffic stop on South Duffy Road.Police said they stopped her vehicle after officers witnessed it travel off the right side of the road and hit a mailbox and garbage can. Police said Williams was unaware she hit the objects, and field sobriety tests showed she was impaired.Police said a later blood test showed Williams' blood-alcohol content at .229%, and in Pennsylvania, a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.July 24 — Xzavia Adams, 23, and Francis Drew, 25, of Butler were charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and criminal mischief for allegedly going to the Days Inn on Route 8 and assaulting a victim, whom police did not identify. The suspects pushed and punched the victim, police said. During the altercation, $1,675 in damage was done to hotel property.

Aug. 25 — James A. Troutt, 45, of Nashville, Tenn., was charged with theft and having stolen property related to items stolen Jan. 28 from an online transaction with a local resident.Police said a Jackson Township resident paid Troutt $650 for a bike trainer. Police said the resident was told by Troutt the item was lost during shipping and there were multiple attempts to refund the money, all of which were “lost” in the mail.Police said they made contact with Troutt, who said he would try to send the refund again, but he has not returned their calls, and the refund never was received.

Aug. 23 — Raymond L. Book, 40, of New Castle, was charged with a first-offense DUI, stemming from an Aug. 18 traffic stop at the intersection of Scott Ridge Road and Perry Highway in Harmony.Police said they stopped Book for speeding and driving erratically. Police said they smelled alcohol in the vehicle, and field sobriety tests showed Book was impaired.Police said a later blood test showed Book's blood-alcohol content at .162%, and in Pennsylvania, a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.

Sept. 2 — Gerald K. Honeycutt Jr., 45, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense DUI, stemming from an Aug. 28 traffic stop on William Flynn Highway in the parking lot of Playthings Etc. in Clay Township.Police said they stopped the vehicle for high-beam usage. Police said they smelled alcohol inside the vehicle and field sobriety tests showed Honeycutt was impaired.Police said a later breath test showed Honeycutt's blood-alcohol content at .093%, and in Pennsylvania, a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.Sept. 2 — Kobe B. McLean, 19, of Hilliards, was charged with a first-offense DUI following a one-vehicle crash on West Sunbury Road near Moniteau High School in Cherry Township.Police said McLean admitted to marijuana use and showed signs of impairment. Police said he was taken to a hospital due to a high level of impairment.Police said a later blood test showed marijuana was in McLean's system at the time of the crash.Sept. 6 — Thefts from a number of vehicles parked at off-campus apartments on Campus Side Circle near Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock Township occurred in early morning hours before 7 a.m. Police remind residents to lock their vehicles and remove valuable items.Sept. 5 — Edwin Beck, 59, of South Park was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 58-year-old South Park woman on West Park Road in Worth Township.

Aug. 25 ­— Isaac J. Allmann, 26, of Harmony, was charged with a second-offense DUI, stemming from an Aug. 21 traffic stop on Gudekunst Road in Zelienople.Police said they stopped the vehicle for crossing lines on the road. Police said they smelled alcohol in the vehicle, and field sobriety tests showed Allmann was impaired.Police said a later blood test showed Allmann's blood-alcohol content at .234%, and in Pennsylvnania, a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.Aug. 23 — Jennifer E. West, 42, of Zelienople, was charged with a first-offense DUI, related to a July 16 report of a woman passed out in her vehicle in the parking lot of Elite Orthotics.Police said they found West in the driver's seat of her still-running vehicle, and it took several attempts to wake her. Police said West admitted to having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, but she claimed it was from the night before.Police said field sobriety tests showed West was impaired and a later blood test showed cocaine and marijuana in her system.
