These items were collected from various police departments:

Aug. 30 — Shannon L. Winters, 39, of Boyers, was charged with a second-offense DUI following a two-vehicle crash July 27 on Route 356 near South Duffy Road, Butler Township.Police said Winters had refused medical transport, but the driver of the other vehicle was taken by ambulance for treatment. Police said Winters told officers she regularly uses a medication, and field sobriety tests showed she was impaired.Police said Winters later asked them to retrieve her purse in which empty stamp bags were found. Police said Winters' blood was tested and fentanyl was found in her system.Aug. 30 — Nicole E. Richards, 22, of Cranberry Township, was charged with theft related to items stolen July 26 from a Super 8 hotel room in Butler Township.Police said they were responding to an argument between Richards and her boyfriend. Police said the argument was over the boyfriend playing video games, and at some point security guards from the hotel separated the two.While separated, Richards allegedly took her boyfriend's gaming console and controllers and fled the hotel. The items were valued at about $320 total.Aug. 30 — Tia M. Andreassi, 18, of Butler, was charged with leaving the scene of a July 27 crash on the 300 block of New Castle Road, Butler Township.Police said when they arrived at the scene, a woman said another car had pulled out of the Sheetz parking lot and hit her vehicle. Police said the woman told officers the other vehicle did not stop, but she was able to follow it briefly to record the license plate.Police said they found the vehicle and identified the driver as Andreassi, who had not reported the crash.

Aug. 30 — Jacob Speicher, 31, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense DUI, following a head-on, two-vehicle crash Aug. 5 on the 200 block of Bear Creak Road, Buffalo Township.Police said as they talked with Speicher, they smelled alcohol, and when they asked him to walk to the police cruiser, he was unsteady and needed help. Police said the other driver was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment.Police said a later blood test showed his blood-alcohol content at .210%. In Pennsylvania, a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.

Aug. 31 — Amber R. Hartzell, 31, of Cranberry, Venango County, was charged with drug possession and paraphernalia possession, related to an April 25 disturbance at Best Buy, Cranberry Township.Police said they were responding to a report that two people were in the store arguing over “coke.” Police said when they arrived, they found and talked with Hartzell, who at one point opened her wallet for ID.Police said during that time, they spotted paraphernalia in her wallet, and they searched further, finding several empty stamp bags and five full stamp bags of a suspected heroin.5:36 p.m. Aug. 30 — Justin P. Haines, 28, of Cranberry Township, was arrested and charged with first-offense DUI, related to a dispatch to 8000 Old Station Road for a man slumped over the wheel in his vehicle.Police said they found the vehicle running but in park, and they found Haines in the vehicle. Police said when Haines exited the vehicle, he smelled of alcohol, and field sobriety tests showed he was impaired.Police said a later blood test showed Haines' blood-alcohol content at .250%, and in Pennsylvania, a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.

2:22 a.m. Sept. 4 — Jamel A. Barnes, 31, of Hilliards, was arrested and charged with simple assault.Police said a woman told officers she was a passenger in her car being driven by Barnes, when she asked him to slow down and let her out. She told police she tried to exit the moving vehicle when Barnes hit her twice in the face.The woman told police Barnes then stopped the car on the 400 block of Pittsburgh Road, where he fled on foot. Police said there were injuries to the woman's lip and nose area.Aug. 31 — Keona I.R. Supples, 28, of Butler, was charged with terroristic threats and harassment, related to an Aug. 17 incident with her landlord.Police said they talked with the landlord, who claimed Supples threatened to kill her. Police said following an eviction hearing, which had been continued, the landlord received a call from a Butler City Police officer notifying her of threats made by Supples.According to police, Supples threatened to kill the landlord, the landlord's father and burn both of their houses down.

Aug. 30 — Jonathan D. Ball, 20, of Girard, was charged with a first-offense DUI, stemming from an Aug. 28 traffic stop on Kiester Road near Rocket Drive, Slippery Rock.Police said they stopped Ball's vehicle for having no rear lights. Police said they smelled alcohol inside the vehicle, and field sobriety tests showed Ball was impaired.Police said a later breath test showed Ball's blood-alcohol content at .111%, and in Pennsylvania, a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.Aug. 30 — Ian J. Edwards, 25, of Slippery Rock, was charged with a first-offense DUI, stemming from an Aug. 28 traffic stop on Kiester Road near Rocket Drive, Slippery Rock.Police said they stopped the vehicle for swerving outside its lane. Police said they smelled alcohol inside the vehicle, and field sobriety tests showed Edwards was impaired.Police said a later breath test showed Edwards' blood-alcohol content at .247%, and in Pennsylvania, a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.Aug. 30 — Jacob D. Balcer, 22, of South Park, was charged with a first-offense DUI, stemming from a May 22 incident at Sheetz in Slippery Rock.Police said while on patrol, they saw a truck pull into the Sheetz lot and remain for a long period of time. Police said after entering the store, they checked the bathroom and found Balcer on the bathroom floor.Police said Balcer told officers he was fine and just sleeping. Police resumed patrol and saw the truck leave the gas station, at which point they pulled it over for failing to use a turn signal.Police said field sobriety tests showed Balcer was impaired, and a later blood test showed marijuana and fentanyl in his system.

Aug. 31 — Caroline A. Yacono, 45, of Saxonburg, was charged with false imprisonment related to an Aug. 29 domestic incident on the 200 block of Fisher Road, Saxonburg.Police said officers talked to Yacono's mother, who claimed the two were arguing, during which time Yacono had thrown many things at her and at one point locked her out of her home and at another point locked her in a bedroom.

12:30 a.m. Sept. 5 — Edwin J. Beck, 60, of South Park, was arrested and charged with simple assault, related to a domestic dispute at Slippery Rock Campground, Worth Township.Police said when they arrived, they talked with both Beck and his wife, who had a burn that was blistering. Police said the couple was arguing near an open-top deep fryer with boiling grease when Beck tossed a turkey toward her that landed in the deep fryer.Police said the turkey splashed grease in several places on the wife, including the left side of her face. Police said Beck claimed he dropped the turkey by accident.12:35 a.m. Sept. 4 — Preston R. Jeffery, 22, of Theodore, Ala., was arrested and charged with a felony for carrying a gun without a license and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession, stemming from a traffic stop on Route 68 at Moose Road, Connoquenessing Township.Police said during the stop, they saw paraphernalia containing marijuana residue, and when they searched the vehicle, they found a loaded, 9 mm pistol behind the driver's seat and within arm's reach of Jeffery.Aug. 31 — Shawn M. Hails, 38, of Cabot, was charged with a felony for failure to register with state police, related to his Megan's Law status.Police said Hails is a Tier 2 offender, and is required to appear for verification semiannually. Police said Hails failed to appear for verification March 31. Police said they arrested Hails Aug. 8, and during that time frame, he made no attempts to verify.Aug. 31 — Ryan N. Banner, 35, of Butler, was charged with making a false statement while trying to buy a gun July 1, 2020, from Sportsman's Supply in Summit Township.Police said Banner's application to buy a 9 mm pistol was denied because he stated “no” on the form where it asked if he had any drug-related convictions.Aug. 30 — Ryan J. Chuba, 38, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense DUI, stemming from an Aug. 27 traffic stop on the 100 block of Greenwood Drive, Butler Township.Police said they stopped the vehicle for swerving onto the shoulder of the road. Police said they smelled alcohol on Chuba, and field sobriety tests showed he was impaired.Police said a later breath test showed Chuba's blood-alcohol content at .184%, and in Pennsylvania, a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.
