The Connoquenessing Township Sewer Authority launched a website recently (connosewer.org). I have not seen this announced to the public.

A site as such should be openly promoted to the public, since the plan is noted to cost upward of $22 million and highly impacts almost all residents.

I hope the township citizens take advantage and notice of this website.

The website contains an engineering representation of the sewage line placement under the “construction” tab.

I advise people to note the location of the sewer line on their property.

People should be aware that Senate Engineering has stated that a 50-foot construction clearing will be necessary, and all trees, shrubs and other vegetation will be removed. Once construction is complete, a 20-foot right-of-way will remain in place in perpetuity for maintenance.

The website notes that any comments or communications concerning issues brought forth by property owners will have to be made through the formal comment section on the website. No other form of communication will be accepted.

The comment period will end Sept. 22.

This is a very short period for a website that has not been generally advertised.
