Sexual assault case moves to county court: Cranberry man charged with assaulting teen

CRANBERRY TWP — A Cranberry man accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl waived his preliminary hearing Friday and the case will go to county court.

Andrew R. Duty, 51, of Cranberry Township, will have a formal arraignment in Common Pleas Court in September on four felony and one misdemeanor charge stemming from his alleged sexual abuse of the teenaged girl after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing.

Duty's charges include aggravated indecent assault by forcible compulsion and sexual abuse of children, both second-degree felonies; corruption of minors and sexual extortion, both third-degree felonies; and first-degree misdemeanor indecent assault by forcible compulsion.
