Shultz grabs victory in 1,000th Sprint race

BUFFALO TWP — Jason Shultz started on the pole. He finished in victory lane.

The Central Pennsylvania Sprint car driver led the feature from wire to wire Friday night at Lernerville Speedway, winning the 1,000th Sprint feature in the track's history.

Shultz picked up an extra $1,100 on top of the normal winner's purse for the 25-lap event. He held off AJ Flick and Carl Bowser for the milestone win.

Michael Norris started out front in the Late Model feature, but lost the lead to Alex Ferree, who came from the tail of the field.

After a few cautions and restarts, Norris was able to regain the lead and get the win.
