Police Reports

The following items have been gathered from various police departments:

8:16 p.m. Feb. 24 — Police tased a Cranberry Township man in UPMC Passavant Cranberry Hospital and then forced him to be intubated, so that he could be treated for ingesting a large quantity of the anxiety medication Lorazepam. Police charged Daniel Vicario, 26, with disorderly conduct and harassment after he tried to leave the hospital. When police arrived at the hospital, Vicario told them he was trained in mixed martial arts and could hurt people to get out of the hospital. When he tried to leave, police tried to restrain him and finally used a Taser to subdue and handcuff him, so that he could be intubated.

1:41 a.m. Feb. 28 — Kyle Bruce-Darnell Fowler, 22, of Bedford Heights, Ohio, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and summary careless driving after police responded to a hit-and-run crash at the Heights Apartments in Slippery Rock Borough. While police were responding to the crash, they noticed a vehicle traveling toward them that had front-end damage and matched the description of the car involved in the hit-and-run crash. When police pulled the car over, they allegedly noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from Fowler's mouth. Police said he admitted to drinking four shots before driving and to being involved in the apartment crash. Police said his blood-alcohol-content was .171.1:53 a.m. Feb. 27 — Trevor Furrie Marnich, 21, of Grove City, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and traffic violations after police said they saw him swerving in and out of lanes while driving on Route 8 in Brady Township.

Feb. 25 — Police charged Travis K. Pritts, 39, of Butler, with a first-offense DUI and multiple summary offenses.According to charging documents, police stopped a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta at 10:19 p.m. Feb. 24 as it was traveling south on Route 28 in Buffalo Township.Police said they watched the car swerve over the fog line and center line several times.Police said Pritts had glassy, bloodshot eyes and he admitted to drinking two beers before driving.Documents said Pritts showed signs of impairment during a field sobriety test, and shortly afterward police took a breath test sample, which showed a blood-alcohol level of .178%.A preliminary hearing for Pritts was scheduled for April 28.
