North Catholic girls win big

Alayna Rocco scored 18 points and North Catholic placed four girls in double figures during a 78-31 WPIAL Class 3A girls basketball playoff win over Brownsville Wednesday night.

Tori Dreva added 14 points, Dacia Lewandowski 13 and Ava Walker 10 for the top-seeded Trojanettes (16-2), who won their fifth straight game.

North Catholic raced out to a 32-7 lead in the first quarter and led 53-14 at halftime.

Brownsville ended its season at 3-10.
