4:23 p.m. Monday — Police cited Roberta Ochaba, 63, of Butler, for making a left turn in front of a vehicle driven by Brianna Geibel, 20, of Butler, in a vehicle crash on Pittsburgh Road at the Greater Butler Mart.Ochaba, Geibel and Ochaba's passenger were taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital for injuries suffered in the crash.11:08 p.m. Saturday — Police responded to and investigated a one-car crash on McCalmont Road.Police said they found the driver, Robert Novak, 69, of Butler, trapped inside his vehicle, which had left the road and struck a tree.Novak told police he was traveling east on a curve when a deer crossed in front of him.Firefighters freed Novak from the car, and he was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.Butler Township Fire District and Butler VA Department assisted at the scene.4:21 p.m. Saturday — Terry Rimer Jr., 32, of South Carolina, was charged with sale or use of certain solvents, which is typically the charge for huffing or inhaling fumes in order to experience a high.Police said they were dispatched to Hampton Inn, 610 Butler Crossing, where Rimer allegedly was inhaling an electronics duster.Rimer was arrested and placed in Butler County Prison to await arraignment.9:44 p.m. Friday — Butler Township Police charged George Cardeno Jr., 29, of New Castle, with simple assault and harassment after police were dispatched to the Super 8 for a reported domestic dispute.Police said they received a report that Cedeno hit a woman in the nose during the altercation.Cedeno was arrested and placed in Butler County Prison to await arraignment.

Saturday — Police charged Emilia Rivera, 33, of Freedom, with misdemeanor retail theft.According to the affidavit, police identified Rivera through Walmart's video footage showing her ring up 45 items worth about $226. Police said Rivera was stopped by a loss-prevention officer, who found she still owed the company about $99.Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 30.

Monday — Police charged Jacob E. Bayuk, 32, of New Castle, with misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment.The affidavit said police were dispatched Saturday to a Stoughton Road location for a domestic dispute. Police said they talked with the victim at the scene, who said Bayuk, who was her boyfriend, punched her several times in the face. Police said the victim had a cut on her lip from the incident.A preliminary hearing has not been set.

Monday — Police charged Cody J. Sepp, 20, with multiple misdemeanors, including two counts of DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. He also was charged with multiple summary offenses.The affidavit said police initiated a traffic stop Jan. 30 after observing an SUV fail to stop at a stop sign.Police said Sepp was the driver, and Matthew A. Brown, 20, who also has been charged in the incident, was in the passenger seat.Police said they smelled a strong odor of marijuana, and both men later admitted to smoking and having marijuana with them. Police said they later found marijuana and alcohol, which both men claimed was theirs.Sepp was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, which allegedly revealed marijuana THC in his system.Brown has been charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and use of paraphernalia as well as a summary offense.Preliminary hearings for Sepp and Brown have not been set.
