Jodie Foster thanked Green Bay Packers quarterback
Aaron Rodgers at the Golden Globes, fulfilling a promise the actress had made before she won.Foster clarified Sunday night that she did not introduce Rodgers to actress Shailene Woodley, who recently confirmed her engagement to the NFL's MVP.“I have never met Aaron Rodgers, but it is possible that I do like to talk about how much I love the Green Bay Packers,” Foster said in virtual comments backstage. “Sometimes I can talk a little bit too much about that, so of course Shailene was very aware of my enthusiasm for the team.”Foster won for supporting actress in a motion picture for “The Mauritanian,” in which she co-stars with Woodley.“I just got a very cute video from Aaron Rodgers where he says he's going to get me back,” Foster told reporters, “so I'm looking forward to this. We'll see who wins.”The public back-and-forth between Oscar winner Foster and Rodgers began in early February, when he thanked Foster after being named MVP at the NFL Honors show. Rodgers casually dropped in the news that he was engaged during his acceptance speech.Foster later said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” that she would thank Rodgers if she won a Globe, and she kept her promise.———
LONDON — <b>Prince Philip</b> was transferred Monday to a specialized London heart hospital to undergo testing and observation for a pre-existing heart condition as he continues treatment for an unspecified infection, Buckingham Palace said.The 99-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth II was moved from King Edward VII's Hospital, where he has been treated since Feb. 17, to St. Bartholomew's Hospital, which specializes in cardiac care. As Philip was moved into a waiting ambulance for the transfer, people held up open umbrellas to shield him from photographers and the public.———LOS ANGELES — <b>Prince Harry</b> says the process of separating from royal life has been very difficult for him and his wife, <b>Meghan</b>.In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry invoked the memory of his late mother, Princess Diana, who had to find her way alone after she and Prince Charles divorced.“I'm just really relieved and happy to be sitting here talking to you with my wife by my side, because I can't begin to imagine what it must have been like for her going through this process by herself all those years ago,” Harry said, adding, “because it's been unbelievably tough for the two of us.”“But at least we have each other,” Harry said, in a clip from the interview special, which is scheduled to air March 7 on CBS and the following day in Britain. Diana was shown in a photo holding toddler Harry as he made the comments. His mother died in 1997 of injuries suffered in a car crash.The couple lives in Montecito, California, where they are neighbors of Winfrey.
