Waltman nets 32 in Gremlins' runaway win

Nathan Waltman's 32 points and eight rebounds highlighted Karns City's 77-29 rout of Forest Area in boys basketball play Friday night.

Chase Beighley added 15 points and seven assists for the host Gremlins (19-2), who had an emphatic rebound following a loss Thursday at Brookville.

A-C Valley 72, North Clarion 58 — Trailing the Wolves 34-29 at halftime, the Falcons surged ahead behind the play of Levi Orton, who scored 20 of his 33 points in the second half.

Orton also contributed 10 rebounds, Eli Penny had 11 points, eight rebounds and seven assists and Jay Clover 10 rebounds.

A-C Valley improved to 10-5 on the season.

Punxsutawney laid 30 points in the first quarter, setting the tone in a 69-42 win over visiting Moniteau.

Aslyn Pry tallied 18 points, 16 rebounds, three assists and three blocks in defeat.

Catherine Kelly added 11 points for the Warriors.
