Tuesday — A felony arrest warrant was issued for Jeremy W. Leduc, 29, stemming from an alleged domestic dispute last week at his home on the 300 block of North Washington Street. He is accused of strangling and assaulting his live-in girlfriend Feb. 11.The victim told police that Leduc choked her “to the point that she believed she would pass out,” according to court documents. He also allegedly struck her in the face numerous times. Police said the left side of the woman's face was swollen and bruised.Leduc is charged with a felony count of strangulation and a misdemeanor count of simple assault.

Thursday — Police charged Dennis R. John Jr., 45, of Butler in connection with a two-vehicle crash about 12:05 p.m. Jan 30 on Route 422 at Greenwood Drive. He is charged with accidents involving injury, driving with a suspended license-DUI relatedand careless driving.Wednesday — Police charged Steven H. Glomb, 55, of Butler in a hit-and-run crash last year at Center and Morton avenues. He is accused of fleeing the scene of the Dec. 24 crash.Glomb is charged with a misdemeanor count of hit-and-run. He also was cited for disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and reckless driving.9:15 a.m. Monday — Ross E. Groom, 30, of Slippery Rock was injured when he lost control of his pickup truck and struck another pickup head-on on the 300 block of South Benbrook Road. Lawrence Lang, 61, of Harrisville, was the other driver.Police said Groom suffered a minor injury. Lang was not hurt. The northbound lane was closed for about 30 minutes until Groom's truck was towed. Police cited Groom for driving too fast for conditions.

8:40 p.m. Feb. 22 — Jacob T. Bintrim, 25, of New Castle lost control of his car and spun into a concrete wall along Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. He was not injured, but his car had to be towed. Police cited Bintrim for driving too fast for conditions.8:51 p.m. Saturday — One person was injured in a two-vehicle wreck at Route 68 and Brandywine Boulevard in Connoquesnessing Township. The crash occurred when a car driven by Braydon D. Brinker, 18, of Renfrew struck a sport utility vehicle driven by Katie M. Pierce-Wilbert, 33, of Fenelton.Police said Daniel J. Wilbert, 35, of Fenelton, a passenger in the SUV, suffered an apparent minor injury. Both vehicles had to be towed. Brinker was cited for driving too fast for conditions and a red light violation.3:54 p.m. Saturday — One person was injured when a car driven by Michael R. Evans, 24, of Dubois, Clearfield County rear-ended a vehicle on Route 68 just north of Isaac Lane in Connoquenessing Township. James E. Gascoine, 63, of Cranberry Township was the other driver.Evans' passenger, Melody L. Ball, 24, of Punxsutwaney, Jefferson County, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with a suspected minor injury. Evans' car was towed from the scene. Police cited him for following too closely to another vehicle.
