Thanks goes to Area on Aging office

Once again, our Butler County Area Agency on Aging deserves a huge “thank you.”

Over the years, I personally have had many occasions to stop by or call the Butler County Area Agency on Aging. Their office is located on the Sunnyview Complex in a group of small offices. The wonderful ladies seem to be quite happy and content in their surroundings.

After talking to any of these highly qualified people, you soon know that these ladies not only know “their stuff,” but are determined to make a positive difference to everyone they encounter.

In the past, I have been asking for assistance for elderly friends or family members. They know about so many things that I cannot possibly elaborate on the extent of the combined knowledge of this amazing group.

Then came the COVID-19 vaccination sign-up. These elderly folks were left in limbo. The very people who needed the vaccine the most had no way of calling, signing up and getting access.

But our Area Agency on Aging office came to their rescue.

These ladies immediately knew that their clientele (age 65 and older), for the most part, have very little knowledge of computers. Many of them do not own a computer, have poor sight, no one at home to assist them, no family members who can help register them, etc. Thus they formed the call line, and it is working, as so many people are sighing with relief.

Thank you to the employees of our Area Agency on Aging. As always, you are making a difference, and you are relieving stress, anger and fear, and belong right up there with Butler’s finest. May God bless each of you.

Donna Steinheiser,

Butler
