Oesterling 90th birthday
Nancy Jane (Pensy) Oesterling, of Concordia at the Orchard, 104 Concordia Way, celebrated her 90th birthday.
The former Nancy Jane Pensy was born Feb. 2, 1931, in West Sunbury. She married Glenn Oesterling June 23, 1951, in St. Wendelin Roman Catholic. He is deceased.
She has three children, John (Jody) Oesterling, of Leeper, Pa., Michael Osterling, of Mico, Texas, and the late Glenny Oesterling.
She has 4 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Oesterling retired in 2006 after 32 years as Butler County jury commissioner. She also worked at Magnetics in East Butler and served as chief voting registrar for Butler County.
She volunteered for the Easter Seals, the Cancer Society and in 2005 headed a petition drive calling on Butler Memorial Hospital hire an architectural firm to design a building reuse and construction plan and to reinstate the Butler Memorial Hospital Association.
She is a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church.
