Winter weather advisory issues for Butler County, surrounding area

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Butler County and many other counties in western Pennsylvania. The advisory will take effect at 6 p.m. Monday and is expected to last until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The service is expecting slippery and hazardous road conditions for the evening commute due to mixed precipitation, which could lead to up to one inch of snow accumulation and one-tenth an inch of ice. The weather advisory expects for snow to hit portion of western Pennsylvania and east central Ohio.
