County adds 13 COVID-19 deaths, 145 new cases

Butler County's COVID-19 death toll rose by 13 to 246 in the latest pandemic numbers released by the Pennsylvania Department of Health on Sunday.

The county also added 145 new confirmed cases since Friday.

Butler County has now surpassed 7,000 confirmed cases since the pandemic began with 7,098 reported by the department of health.

Pennsylvania added 17,551 new cases of COVID-19, according to the latest figures posted on the state's coronavirus website.

Of those 17,000-plus new cases, 10,045 were reported Saturday.

The commonwealth also saw 376 deaths from the virus over the weekend to bring the death toll to 17,770.

Butler County continues to administer COVID-19 vaccinations.

According to the latest data, 3,737 county residents have received the vaccine with 463 full courses administered.
