Butler's high school football season came to an abrupt ending Friday afternoon as the Golden Tornado's game with Erie — scheduled for Friday night at Art Bernardi Stadium — was canceled.

Butler athletic director Bill Mylan said he received a phone call from Erie athletic director Jeremy Mifsud late Friday afternoon, informing him the Erie team would not be making the trip to Butler due to a COVID-19 outbreak at Erie High School.
