Trump campaign announces Saturday rally at Butler airport

It's official: President Donald Trump will be holding a rally Saturday evening at the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport on Airport Road in Penn Township.

The Trump campaign announced its plan Wednesday night, following meetings with airport officials that began earlier this week. The U.S. Secret Service also has been at the airport to coordinate logistics, authorities said.

The “Make American Great Again” event will be held at 7 p.m. Doors will open for the public at 4 p.m.

The event is free and people can register for tickets at Trump's website: www.donaldjtrump.com.

Registering for tickets requires a valid cell phone number, and there is a limit of two tickets per phone number. All tickets are subject to first come first serve basis.

Those signing up for tickets will receive additional information and instructions via text message about the event from the campaign.

All attendees will be given a temperature check, masks which they are instructed to wear and access to hand sanitizer.

Remote parking and shuttle services are to be in place for the event, authorities said.

The forecast calls for sun and high temperatures near 50 degrees Saturday afternoon at the airport, according to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, with mostly clear skies and a low around 36 later that night.
