Gov. Wolf: Quit trying to be our parent, savior

Once again Gov. Tom Wolf has tried to snow the people of Pennsylvania with a fake concern for the restaurants and bars which he has crippled with his dictatorial rules and regulations.

This time he has made a grandiose proclamation that he will waive the annual fees for licenses for the bars and restaurants. That would save them on average a whopping $1,500. That is less than the amount of the stimulus checks most people received.

We have to wonder if he is this stupid or is he trying to be insulting on purpose.

This on the heels of vetoing legislation from our representatives trying to help save the restaurants that he hasn’t already killed.

Wolf needs a wake-up call that can get through to him just how much he is responsible for the ruination of the state’s economy and especially the restaurant and tourism industry.

Waiving a $1,500 fee while stabbing them in the heart with his mandates to only be open minimum hours and with minimum customers is insulting.

If he doesn’t choke on his own words; he should go back to the drawing board and come up with something substantial and quit nickel-and-diming the situation for his amusement.

Let people use their common sense and best decision making as to how they feel about social distancing and being inside versus outside.

The $1,500 gaslight hardly comes close to covering the expense of installing heating apparatus for outside dining.

Wolf’s time would be better spent diagraming how to put 20,000 people into a car show without breaking his own social-distancing rules.

Gov. Wolf, do us all a favor and quit trying to be our parent and our savior. None of us want that from you. Just focus on getting the economy back to where we aren’t losing more businesses every week.
