8:37 p.m. Monday — Nicholas B. Defelice, 29, of Butler was arrested after he allegedly entered a vehicle on Wagner Avenue. The owner of the vehicle told police that she caught him in the act. Police said they believe Defelice was impaired, possibly on drugs, when they found him. He denied being on drugs or taking anything from the vehicle. He was arraigned on charges of theft from a vehicle and public drunkenness, and released on $3,000 unsecured bail.

Tuesday — Police issued a warning to residents about an apparent internet scam involving gift cards. A township woman recently received an alert on her Amazon account about a possibly fraudulent purchase. The alert requested that the resident call a particular phone number. The woman confirmed the purchase was fraudulent and the call-taker credited her the money for the unauthorized purchase, but the wrong amount. The call-taker requested the woman refund the money by purchasing gift cards. She was scammed out of $8,500, police said.

10:55 a.m. Tuesday — No one was injured in a three-vehicle wreck at Route 68 and Whitestown Road in Connoquenessing. The crash occurred when a minivan driven by Robin A. Grubor, 37, of Butler struck a car driven by Kaelee A. Condello, 27, of Cranberry Township.Police said that after the collision, Condello's car struck a sport utility vehicle driven by Thomas E. Mysliwiec, 59, of Butler. The van had to be towed. Grubor was cited for careless driving.6:16 a.m. Tuesday — Wyatt E. Mock, 19, of Butler was uninjured after the car he was driving struck a deer on Brownsdale Road just east of Tunnel Road in Forward Township. The car hit an embankment and rolled onto its driver's side after striking the deer.12:29 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Destiny E. Wilson, 20, of New Castle struck an SUV on Interstate 79 north in Muddy Creek Township. Emily F. Peets, 41, of Pittsburgh was the other driver. No one was injured, but both vehicles had to be towed. Police cited Wilson for disregarding traffic lanes and driving on the wrong side of the road.12:51 a.m. Sunday — Anthony Padilla, 30, of Hereford, Ariz., was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence in Franklin Township after police found him in a car parked at Pflugh Road and Route 422.Thursday — Amanda J. Gibson, 38, of Portersville was charged with DUI after a crash last month on Route 108 near Old Ford Road, Slippery Rock Township. Gibson is charged with disregarding traffic lanes and failing to keep right.7:19 p.m. Oct. 14 — No one was injured when a van driven by Jean L. Fontaine, 72, of Harrisville rear-ended a car on Route 173 just north of Weaver Lane in Slippery Rock. Paul E. Lloyd, 55, of Slippery Rock was the other driver. Police cited Fontaine for following too closely to another vehicle, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.Oct. 14 — Lisa M. Blake, 38, of Butler was charged with having suspected crack cocaine and driving on more than a half dozen drugs stemming from a traffic stop in Butler. She was pulled over around 1:20 a.m. Sept. 14 on East North Street. Police said a consent search turned up a baggie of suspected crack in her purse, and she was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. According to court documents, she tested positive for the following drugs: amphetamine, methamphetamine, cocaine, benzoylecgonine, oxycodone, fentanyl and norfentanyl. Blake is charged with possession of a controlled substance and multiple counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.Oct. 14 — Paige A. Bish, 30, of Jefferson Township was charged with drugged driving after a traffic stop last month in Butler. Police said they stopped her around 9:20 p.m. Sept. 20 on South Sixth Avenue near Hansen Avenue. Bish was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology results showed she had several drugs in her system, according to court documents, including marijuana, fentanyl, norfentanyl and a heroin of codeine metabolite. She is charged with multiple counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and careless driving.Oct. 14 — Robert J. Armstrong, 40, of Butler was charged with drugged driving stemming from a traffic stop last month in Butler. Police said he was pulled over around 8:15 p.m. Sept. 20 on South Chestnut Street.Armstrong was later taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, which showed he had marijuana in his system, according to court documents. He is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and careless driving, a rear lighting violation and failing to notify authorities of a change of address.
