Monday — Police obtained an arrest warrant for William E. Shaner, 33, after he allegedly assaulted his mother at their home on East Christie Avenue. He is charged with simple assault.The victim told police that Shaner attacked her around 2:30 a.m. Monday. She accused him of punching, kicking and strangling her, according to court documents. The alleged assault lasted for about an hour.The woman reported the incident around 8:20 a.m. at the police station. Police said the victim's injuries, which included bruises on her arms and right leg, were consisted with her account of the assault.4:30 p.m. Oct. 13 — An Allegheny County woman was allegedly found with Suboxone without a prescription after police were called for an intoxicated person in the area of East North and North Cliff streets. Officers got there and came upon Tori L. Zaborowski, 28, of Cheswick seated in the grass. Police said she appeared impaired.Zaborowski was subsequently found with the Suboxone in a bottle labeled with a different prescription, according to court documents. She also had a suspected snorting straw.She is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.Oct. 13 — Douglas C. Fudoli, 51, of Butler Township was charged with having 40 stamp bags of suspected heroin stemming from an incident last month on Pillow Street. Police said he was stopped and searched around 8:15 p.m. Sept. 22 during an investigation of suspected drug activity.Fudoli is charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance.

6:12 p.m. Oct. 2 — Joseph E. Banachoski, 58, of Butler allegedly shoplifted four items totaling $6.75 at the Speedway store on Hansen Avenue in Lyndora. He is charged with misdemeanor counts of retail theft and driving with a suspended license-DUI related.

7:11 p.m. Monday — Shane A. McCommon, 32, of Butler lost control of his car and struck an embankment on Hooker Road in Concord Township. He was not injured, but his car had to be towed.Police cited McCommon for driving too fast for conditions, disregarding traffic lanes, unauthorized transfer or use of vehicle registration, driving a vehicle without valid inspection, and not wearing a seat belt.12:04 p.m. Monday — A car driven by a 17-year-old Seven Fields boy skidded off Shannon Road in Connoquenessing Township near Camp Fatima Road and struck a boulder. Police did not release the name of the boy, who was cited for driving too fast for conditions.7:11 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Rakesh K. Gudla, 41, of Roanoke, Va., struck a deer on Interstate 79 south in Jackson Township. He was not injured, but his car had to be towed.5:45 p.m. Sunday — A 35-year-old Cabot woman was bitten by a dog on Main Street in Prospect. The woman suffered a minor leg injury. The dog's owner, a 23-year-old Prospect woman, is facing a citation for an unknown violation. Police did not release her name.7:27 p.m. Saturday — No one was injured when a car driven by Lisa M. Gamble, 39, of Grove City struck a deer on I-79 south in Jackson Township. The car had to be towed.3:32 p.m. Saturday — Four people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck in Clearfield Township. The crash occurred when a car driven by Michael D. Rosensteel, 47, of Ford City, Armstrong County, struck a sport utility vehicle on Cornetti Road.Rosensteel and the other driver, Shelby L. Spurr, 54, of Rochester, Beaver County, both suffered minor injuries. Spurr's passengers, Susan V. Boyd, 58, and Jacqueline R. Spurr, 18, both of Rochester, also both suffered minor injuries. All four occupants were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.Police cited Rosensteel for driving too fast for conditions and driving on the wrong side of the road.Saturday — An unknown thief stole a factory roof rack off an SUV on Applewood Drive in Franklin Township. The theft occurred between 9 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.7:54 p.m. Thursday — A 19-year-old Butler boy was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of marijuana after he crashed an SUV on Moran Road in Summit Township. Police did not release the boy's name.5:59 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Benjamin R. Jackman, 32, of Butler crashed on Route 68 in Summit Township. No injuries were reported, but the car had to be towed. Police cited Jackman for careless driving.Thursday — Kevin E. Gumpp, 56, of New Castle was arraigned on charges of driving under the influence stemming from a traffic stop last month in East Butler. He was pulled over around 3:10 a.m. Sept. 12 at Randolph Avenue and Fifth Street. He is free on his own recognizance.

6:32 a.m. Oct. 13 — A 17-year-old Templeton boy lost control of his car and struck a guardrail on Clearfield Road just east of Valley View Drive in Rayburn Township. Neither the boy nor his passenger, an 18-year-old Kittanning woman, was injured, but the car had to be towed.Police did not release the name of the boy, who was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.Oct. 13 — A grey Apple iPhone 6S cell phone in a green and black camouflage case was found along Route 422 in East Butler, Butler County. On the case, police said, is a picture of a 10-point buck.The person who found the phone turned it in at the state police station in East Franklin Township.

8:33 a.m. Sept. 30 — Charles H. Gee, 27, of Erie was cited following a hit-and-run crash at the Sheetz store on Route 258 in Springfield Township. Police said the wreck occurred when he was driving a pickup truck, which was hauling a large flatbed trailer.While attempting to make a left turn around the gas pumps, according to a police report, the truck struck a traffic pole near the pumps and continued turning over the top of the pole, hitting a brick pillar. Police said Gee eventually fled the scene.He was cited for hit-and-run and failing to give information and render aid after an accident.
